When your pets undergo surgical procedures at Best Friends Animal Hospital, they receive preoperative blood work, allowing us to ensure that your pets are well enough for surgery. They also receive IV fluids, pain medication, and a buster collar to wear at home. While under anesthesia, your pets’ full vitals are monitored, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and ECG.
Soft-Tissue Surgery
Soft-tissue surgeries are all surgeries that don’t deal with bones. Routine spaying and neutering, mass removals, foreign body removals, and minimally invasive procedures like biopsies are all considered soft-tissue surgeries. Our veterinarians can conduct these operations in our facility. For more complex operations, we can arrange for a specialized surgeon to do the surgery.
